This month Stampin' Up! asked us to apply to be display stampers for our upcoming Onstage Live in Orlando (convention) and in order to do so we have to create a blog post about our creations! We were asked to showcase three cards, two 3D projects, and a scrapbook page. I decided to look back over the past couple of months and pick a few of my favorites-- including some I haven't blogged about!

First up is my scrapbook. I know, it's not a traditional page.... I do use Memories and More to make my December Daily albums but I am one year behind (gasp!). So instead, I wanted to show this cute little photo album that I made for my husband so that my daughter could give it to him for Father's Day.

First up is my scrapbook. I know, it's not a traditional page.... I do use Memories and More to make my December Daily albums but I am one year behind (gasp!). So instead, I wanted to show this cute little photo album that I made for my husband so that my daughter could give it to him for Father's Day.
It was made using a Paper Pumpkin from this spring that had lots of cute little 3x3 notecards (we call them love notes)!
I thought it would be fun to connect them all together and make a mini album that has pockets with pull out cards and space to put some pictures of my husband and daughter having fun at the beach in Charleston over the years...
This picture of the two of them is my favorite picture ever- probably because of all the blues (I love monochromatic projects)! And also because of the look of peace on Jonathan's face and the pure joy on Marianne's face!
For my first card I thought I would showcase something a little non-traditional. This slider card was made cutting the end off of a sealed envelope and then the Circle Tab Punch piece sticks out so that they can pull out the card and gift card! I LOVE coffee-- so anything we have that is coffee themed will always make it to my cards.
So much so that I hand "fussy cut" out those various coffee mugs and carafes! If you know me and my hatred of fussy cutting- you would know... That's a big deal.

I had fun with this next card because it features two techniques- calligraphy writing with our new Calligraphy Essentials stamp set (I made 22 of these and yes, my hand was cramping) and markering a stamp to get two different colors on the candles- Berry Burst for the candles and Crushed Curry for the flames!
My last card to showcase was made using the Delightfully Detailed Memories and More card kit (only $10 for 50 flat notecards that can make so many beautiful cards and stickers so that you wouldn't have to stamp, if you don't want to!)
These cards are traditionally used for pocket memory keeping but the "and more" in their name indicates that we use them for all sorts of cool reasons-- bookmarks, lunch box notes, notecards, traditional full sized cards, treat holders, etc!

Now on to my 3D items...
My first one was a complete accident, as I was using the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper as a mask for the Shimmery White Embossing paste and I left it on my desk overnight. The next morning I noticed that the paste had made the sheet flexible and sturdy so I grabbed a tealight and wrapped it around, added a little ribbon on the base and voila. Beautiful votive candle!

My last item to show is a cute 3D treat that even my daughter wanted... It's a vellum bag that holds a puzzle! But let's look at the tag first...
I heat embossed the Calligraphy Essentials script in Black Embossing powder and then aqua painted the Lemon Lime Twist ink inside of the lines. And then, I know, shockingly, I fussy cut the sloth out of our Animal Expedition paper. But seriously, it's a sloth.
The puzzle was easy to make! I mounted a piece of the Animal Expedition paper onto a piece of our Thick White Cardstock and then heat embossed in Black the sentiment from the stamp set Animal Outing-- Wild About You- in the corner. Then I ran the piece through the Big Shot with the Puzzle Pieces Thinlit dies. Cool huh?
I hope you have loved this look back at my crafting over the past few months! I know I have. And I really hope that Stampin' Up! picks me to either be a Display Stamper or a presenter. I loved my opportunity to create and present this last OnStage in Dallas and I am ready for any challenge they throw my way!
