A crafty friend sent me a picture today of her crafty mess at home and I laughed because it was a baby mess. It also inspired me to post my mess.
It's good to see that creative juices require a bit if messiness but that's ok because eventually it gets cleaned up when I move on to another project. This all reminds me of the messy mouse in "if you give a mouse a cookie" book which I used to reference to doctoral students I coached through their dissertation. It has to get messy before you can clean it all up!!
I do have some organization including a standing surface to use my big shot (see above) and all my paper hanging close to my work area!
I have these two tall sets of Elfa drawers that are also accessible from my seated work area and pretty much hold everything! Left side (adhesive, markers/pens, stamps, ink, sewing stuff) and right side (ribbon, 12x12 paper, 8 1/2 x 11 paper, odds and ends)!!
I do use a clear shoe organizer for my punches and I love it!!
And I use the sofa table (from ikea) as my cutting station and for my Project Life work!!
So... This messy mouse needs to get back into her craft cave and finish a few projects so it can get clean again!
Happy crafting!!
