Happy crafting,
Melissa
Thank you for hopping over to my blog from Dena's! Weren't her projects amazing? So, this month's kit was exactly my style and I loved it so much I wasn't sure I could cut it up or do something different... You Are My Anchor is probably my favorite kit ever!
Look at all that you got with this one! So much fun stuff with lots of extra pieces!
The minute I saw those boxes I knew that they would hold a cookie. And guess what? They do! Three stroopwafels to be exact! Won't this make a terrific treat for teacher appreciation week next week?? I just added two holes to the side to make the rope drawer pull (thanks Michelle Brownstein for the idea), laid down a 3.5" x 3.5" piece of parchment paper on the bottom to protect the box from the cookies, and taped a card to the top to make it an "all in one" gift and card!
Now for my other project I knew I wanted to take the envelopes and make a mini-album. I found these cute old photos of Marianne from when we lived in Charleston and thought this would be a sweet Father's Day card/gift for my husband. Scroll through the slideshow to see the cute inner pages!
It is easy to make, you just add some Tear n Tape to the envelope flaps and layer them together. (Like my anchor pants? I had to get in the mood for this kit!)
Make sure you keep hopping right along! I am #12, so next up is Lori Mueller! I can't wait to see what she has whipped up!
And don't forget that this month, if you don't already subscribe, you can get half off your kit by using the phrase SAVEFIFTY0418. (Plus, if you pick me as your demonstrator, I send you a monthly add-on project. Who doesn't love happy mail?)
Happy crafting, Melissa
