Each month many of my customers get the Paper Pumpkin craft box and each month it's a surprise! Also, each month I send my subscribers an additional project-- another way to use the kit. Last month's project was shaker cards...
I thought they were so awesome I just couldn't come up with an alternate project...
Finally, it hit me! I had been wanting to make notepads for sometime (I had 10 in a drawer just waiting...) and with the shaker frames I could devise some sort of photo holder so that people could personalize them!!
I even added a little pocket and used the leftover star strips to decorate the top edge of the notepad!
These are just standard 5x8 notepads from Office Depot.
Then take a standard 8.5 x 11 piece of cardstock and on the long edge score at 5 3/8 inches and 5 5/8 inches!
Then trim a strip of stars off and only make them 5 inches wide to go along the top of the notepad!
I used Fast Fuse to tape all of the inside parts down just to ensure it all stays! It takes a bit to get used to it-- you really have to make a check mark wrist flick to break the tape at the end of each run but it's so strong it's worth it!!
When putting the front window together start with the Polaroid laying flat, then add the window sheet, then using the foam strips adhere the sheet to the paper. Make sure you don't touch the adhesive! Keep the top cover on the adhesive so that it doesn't stick to the stars! Then pop half a sheet of stars and add 20 sequins. Then remove the adhesive and add another 3x3 window sheet -- making a sandwich! Add some sticky strip to three sides, as seen below...
You will want to use the dust buddy on the top adhesive strip to take the sticky out and make it easy to slide a photo in and out...
Like this!!!
I used a variety of the words that made sense!!
We even made a few of these at work!
Stephanie made me post this so that I can show you how we improvised when I forgot my clear blocks-- name tag badge box!
And that you don't have to stamp the background evenly in order to make a cute card! The stars and sequins totally distract you!!
I love this one with the craft paper!!
And have you seen the January Paper Pumpkin kit??
I made these super cute bags with the gift bag die!! And these are heading out to my subscribers this week!!
So cute with the kit's tags!!
