You just arrived from Barbara's blog-- isn't she terrific? Make sure that you keep hopping on over to Kirsteen's blog- I can't wait to see what she has designed for this month! Plus, keep reading for a chance to win a bunch of new crafty goodies! Each blogger will mail the winner a prize- so the winner will get 10 fun packages! Wow-- that's a lot of happy mail!
This month's challenge was all about celebrating the new year! For my card this month, I knew I wanted to feature a few new items from the Spring Occasions Catalog of Stampin' Up! including the Sending Love Glassine Sheets and the gorgeous Falling in Love Designer Series Paper.
With those two choices-- you were expecting a Valentine's Day card, huh?
But no- it's a winter celebration card! Maybe for New Year's Eve? Or a winter wedding or anniversary? Aren't the winter berries in the DSP gorgeous?
I used the Stitched framelits and of course, silver embossing powder. And to finish it off, some glimmer snowflakes and the twine- it's from the Halloween twine set! Hilarious right? But I think it balance the feminine touches just great! And the glassine sheets I was able to use the framelits on too-- amazing right? I can't wait to make treat bags from those! |
Now for my project. What do you get a teacher who doesn't like alcohol, chocolate, or baked goods? She does like La Croix water so I thought this bottle of no calorie, no juice, no sugar, no artificial sweeteners would be perfect! It is pear flavored so I thought that a Pear Pizzazz tag with some gold foil paper and some natural burlap ribbon would be just the touch! I can't wait to give it to her next week to enjoy on New Year's Eve! |
